The Bard is in the Boro!

Join us in honoring Susan Riddiford Shedd in a celebration of Shakespeare on Saturday, Sept 4, 2021! 

Tempest Productions through its program The Central PA Theatre & Dance Fest is hosting 15 Professional Companies in its premiere Bard in the Boro program. Dedicated to Susan Riddiford Shedd, professional actress and teacher, founder of Nittany Valley Shakespeare, this program honors Susan and her mission to make Shakespeare accessible for all! Actors and Performers should join us at 10am and the pre-show activities begin at 6pm, all in Sidney Friedman Parklet, State College PA.

Casting

It all begins at 10am with Open Call Casting – anyone who wants to perform should join us at 10am at Friedman Parklet. We’ll spend the day learning our parts and rehearsing, take a lunch and dinner break, get into costume and be ready to perform at 6pm! Casting includes all ages and all experiences!

The Show! 6pm Pre-Show; 6:30 Showtime! 

We begin with our pre-show activities at 6pm with drumming, dancing, juggling, mask & merry making! And at 6:30pm the show begins. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic and join us at Friedman Parklet. All Free. For all ages!

With over 15 Central PA Performing & Teaching Artists leading the festivities, there’s something for everyone.
