Dance the Day Away in a series of experiential workshops and performances. Join in a dance party where you can two-step, line-dance, swing, and contra dance. From gentle stretching to modern and ballet, come try your hand (or feet) in an outdoor workshop!
Saturday, June 23, 11am-5pm: StoryBook Theatre
Where stories come to life and adventure begins. StoryBook Theatre is a day of reading, playing, and creating for all ages – from our most loved stories (Dr. Seuss, Alice in Wonderland, Moana) to Multi-Cultural Folk and Faery Tales, we will be moving, singing, acting, reacting, and playing! Playing with words, playing with song, movement, props, costumes, and of course, books. Come be a dragon, a pirate, a clown, a princess, a—well why don’t you decide what you’ll be?
Sunday, June 24, 11am-3pm: Shakespeare in the Park
We’re wild about Will, William Shakespeare that is, and hope you will be too! Unravel Shakespeare’s language while developing fundamental acting skills. Improvisation, Movement, Voice, Renaissance Song and Dance. And don’t forget Juggling, Clowning, and of course Dying Your Most Dramatic Death after fighting a most epic combat scene!
